UX- An Architecture Providing QoS-Aware and Federated Support for UDDI
نویسندگان
چکیده
—With more and more web services appearing on the web, web service's discovery mechanism becomes essential. UDDI is an online registry standard to facilitate the discovery of business partners and services. Service requesters can choose good performance web services by manual test and comparison. However, this choosing procedure costs lots of time and energy. The ability to predict the quality of service is missing in UDDI. Furthermore, private UDDI registries in federated organizations should be able to share the service descriptions and the service performance information. To address these problems, we propose UX (UDDI eXtension), a system that facilitates requesters to discover services with good qualities. In each domain, the requesters' QoS feedback is received and then stored in a local database. By sharing these experiences from all the requesters in the local domain, the system can predict the service's further performance. The discovery between different cooperating domains is supported and the links between domains are maintained dynamically. The UX server's inquiry interface conforms to the UDDI Specification.

The Universal Description Discovery & Integration (UDDI) is a standard for XML registry that enables functionality-based publication and discovery of Web services. This paper presents a UDDI extension to support Quality of Service (QoS) management in the context of Business Process Management Systems (BPMSs). To allow service selection, a BPMS architecture should include brokers to match consum...

Service consumers are increasingly becoming aware of QoS and service subscriptions. Service providers (SPs) are also recognizing the opportunity to generate revenue by bundling services in packages and providing them to customers. Standardization bodies have begun to address requirements of charging and usage accounting management as SPs are increasingly relying on them. Federated accounting ma...
متن کاملSupporting QoS-Based Discovery in Service-Oriented Grids
In this work the Service abstraction is extended to support Quality of Service (QoS) attributes – and implemented in the Grid QoS Management (G-QoSM) framework. The framework supports three main functions: (1) providing mechanisms for establishing QoS guarantees via Service Level Agreements (SLAs), (2) enabling QoS management on allocated QoS-aware services, and (3) supporting discovery of serv...
